How to use

What is this tool?
Rotate Video physically re-renders every frame at the new orientation using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so the result plays correctly in every player — unlike rotation flags, which some apps ignore. The output is a universally compatible H.264 MP4. Since re-encoding runs on your device, expect roughly real-time speed; ideal for the typical sideways phone clip.

FAQ
Why not just change the rotation flag?
Rotation metadata is ignored by some players and editing software, so the video would still appear sideways there. This tool re-renders the frames instead — the result is correct everywhere.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Rotation runs entirely in your browser; only the FFmpeg engine (~31 MB) is fetched from a CDN once and cached.
Does the quality suffer?
The video is re-encoded once at a high-quality setting — a small, usually invisible loss. The audio track is copied unchanged.
