What is this tool?
Business Days Calculator handles the two everyday deadline questions: how many working days lie between two dates, and on which date you land after N working days. Saturdays and Sundays are always skipped, and any holidays you list are treated like weekends. Counting excludes the start day and includes the end day, matching how deadlines are normally expressed.
Common uses
- Working out a delivery or response deadline in working days
- Counting remaining working days until a project deadline
- Calculating notice periods measured in business days
- Planning around public holidays by listing them explicitly
FAQ
Are public holidays detected automatically?
No — holidays differ by country and even region, so you list the relevant dates yourself. That keeps the result correct for your specific location.
Is the start date counted?
No, counting starts the day after the start date and includes the end date — the usual convention for deadlines.
Which days count as the weekend?
Saturday and Sunday. For regions with different weekends, add those days as holiday entries.
Can I calculate backwards?
For "days between", the order of the two dates doesn't matter. Adding working days only moves forward.
