FAQ
Which subtitle formats are supported?
SRT (.srt) and WebVTT (.vtt) are both supported, since they share the same basic cue structure of a timestamp line followed by text.
Is my subtitle file uploaded anywhere?
No. Parsing happens entirely in your browser — the file contents are never sent to a server.
What does "remove duplicate consecutive lines" do?
Many subtitle files repeat the same line across several closely-timed cues. This option skips a line if it's identical to the one immediately before it, giving you a cleaner transcript.
