What is this tool?
EXIF Metadata Remover redraws your photo onto a canvas and re-exports it, which drops the EXIF block entirely, including camera model, timestamp and GPS coordinates some cameras and phones embed automatically. Everything happens locally in your browser, so the original file is never uploaded anywhere.
Common uses
- Removing GPS location data before posting a photo publicly
- Stripping camera and device details before sharing a screenshot or photo
- Cleaning up photos before uploading them to a marketplace listing
- Protecting privacy when sharing images with people outside your organization

FAQ
Does this reduce the image quality?
The image is re-encoded at high quality, so any difference is generally not noticeable.
Does it remove GPS location data too?
Yes, GPS coordinates are part of the EXIF block and are removed along with everything else.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No, the entire process runs locally in your browser using the canvas API — your photo is never sent anywhere.
